Dear Friends and Supporters,

I’m delighted to be back, and to once again thank Jeff Clapp, former BCLT Board President, who stepped in as Interim Executive Director during my six month leave. I could not be more proud of Jeff’s able leadership during my medical and family leave. Thank you Jeff! Upon my return in June, Jeff and I proposed, and the BCLT board approved, a new structure that allows shared leadership responsibilities, with Jeff as Co-Director for Finance, Properties & Projects, and my role as Co-Director of Philanthropy & Community Engagement. According to the board, staff, partners and funders, the new structure has proven to be very successful!

We are excited to share several important updates that reflect the Bolinas Community Land Trust’s ongoing commitment to housing stability, community stewardship, and local resilience. Each of the following stories highlights a different aspect of our mission in action—and together, they represent the incredible progress we’re making thanks to your support.

First, the long-awaited BO Gas Station Decommissioning Project is complete. The removal of the underground fuel tank not only eliminated a significant environmental risk but also restored the site at 6 Wharf Road as a safe, clean, and functional space for our tenants and small businesses.

Meanwhile, the 31 Wharf Road Affordable Housing Project, in partnership with Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco, is moving steadily toward construction. This milestone brings us closer to welcoming eight new families into permanently affordable homes right in the heart of Bolinas.

And at Bo-Linda Vista, we’re celebrating two years of providing safe, stable homes for displaced community members while laying the groundwork for permanent housing solutions at the Tacherra Ranch. The leadership and dedication of our staff, residents, and partners continue to inspire us all.

These achievements—each years in the making—are possible because of your generosity, trust, and shared belief that everyone deserves a place to call home in Bolinas. On behalf of the entire BCLT team and board, thank you for standing with us as we continue this essential work together.

BO Gas Station Decommission Project

Young BCLT residents and friends enjoy watching the tank removal at 6 Wharf

The Bolinas Community Land Trust (BCLT) is pleased to share that the BO Gas Station Decommissioning Project at 6 Wharf Road has been successfully completed. The 15,000-gallon three-compartment underground storage tank and all associated fuel equipment have been safely removed, and no environmental remediation was required. With construction complete, the area has been reclaimed for tenant use, creating a safer, cleaner, and more functional space for those who live and work on site. This project was made possible by Supervisor Rodoni and the Board of Supervisors of the County of Marin, who awarded the BCLT $237,720 from the West Marin Infrastructure Reserve.

The Bolinas Community Land Trust (BCLT) is proud to share that significant progress has been made on the 31 Wharf Road Affordable Housing Project, a partnership with Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco (HGSF). The project will create eight permanently affordable homeownership units for residents and families earning below 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI). After years of collaboration, community input, and design refinement, this milestone marks an exciting step toward new housing opportunities in the heart of downtown Bolinas.

A major milestone for the Bo-Linda Vista Housing Initiative is that BCLT now owns, instead of leases, all of the RVs at Bo-Linda Vista. This is a big success for everyone at the organization, but a special thanks goes to Alejandra, our tireless site manager. Alejandra drew on 10 years of experience in RV maintenance and repair to get all outbound leased RVs up to spec, advised BCLT on replacement units and coordinated all of the logistics, from lease return dates, to RV on-site delivery dates, setup (and much, much more), making the transition process for residents smooth the whole way through. Thank you Alejandra!!

Me complace mucho estar de vuelta y agradecer una vez más a Jeff Clapp, expresidente de la Junta Directiva de BCLT, quien asumió el cargo de Director Ejecutivo Interino durante mi baja de seis meses. Estoy sumamente orgulloso del competente liderazgo de Jeff durante mi baja médica y familiar. ¡Gracias, Jeff! Mientras tanto, el Proyecto de Vivienda Asequible de 31 Wharf Road, en colaboración con Hábitat para la Humanidad del Gran San Francisco, avanza a paso firme hacia la construcción. Este hito nos acerca a dar la bienvenida a ocho nuevas familias a viviendas permanentemente asequibles en pleno centro de Bolinas.

Y en Bo-Linda Vista, celebramos dos años proporcionando viviendas seguras y estables a miembros de la comunidad desplazados, a la vez que sentamos las bases para soluciones de vivienda permanente en Tacherra Ranch. Proyecto de desmantelamiento de la gasolinera BO

El Fideicomiso de Tierras Comunitarias de Bolinas (BCLT) se complace en anunciar la finalización exitosa del Proyecto de Desmantelamiento de la Gasolinera BO ubicada en 6 Wharf Road. El tanque de almacenamiento subterráneo de tres compartimentos de 15,000 galones y todo el equipo de combustible asociado se retiraron de forma segura, sin necesidad de remediación ambiental. Una vez finalizada la construcción, el área se recuperó para el uso de los inquilinos, creando un espacio más seguro, limpio y funcional para quienes viven y trabajan en el lugar. Actualización del proyecto Bo-Linda Vista

Un hito importante para la Iniciativa de Vivienda de Bo-Linda Vista es que BCLT ahora es propietario, en lugar de arrendatario, de todos los vehículos recreativos en Bo-Linda Vista. Este es un gran éxito para todos en la organización, pero un agradecimiento especial para Alejandra, nuestra incansable administradora de sitio. Alejandra aprovechó sus 10 años de experiencia en mantenimiento y reparación de vehículos recreativos para que todos los vehículos recreativos arrendados que salían estuvieran en perfectas condiciones, asesoró a BCLT sobre las unidades de reemplazo y coordinó toda la logística, desde las fechas de devolución del arrendamiento hasta las fechas de entrega de los vehículos recreativos en el sitio, la instalación (y mucho, mucho más), facilitando la transición para los residentes de principio a fin. ¡Gracias, Alejandra!
